The Woven Garden

Our good friend and avid organic gardener John Lyons is now serving you with personal customized garden design, maintenance and cultivation. “I do all the specialized work in person. I make all my own soil amendments and fertilizers using compost, vermicast and seaweed using strict organic practices.” For more information, visit The Woven Garden website or call John at (323) 793 3139.

Kiesel Design

Kiesel Design works closely with clients to help realize their visions for the site, schedule, program and budget. The landscape designs are structured to activate spaces in multiple dimensions that engage the senses, conserve energy, resources and also celebrate the native environment and architecture. Whether the project is a small garden in an urban space, an office complex or an expansive park, each unique expression evokes a passion for outdoor living. For more information, contact Jack Kiesel at (805) 642-7708 or visit his website. (Jack’s own residential garden is a wild garden designed to attract birds with locally collected natives from Ojai, Ventura and the Channel Islands.)

L.A. Native Design

L.A. Native Design is dedicated to the design of sustainable, functional, and environmentally friendly outdoor spaces. They place strong emphasis on the use of California native plants for minimal water usage and maximal wildlife value, promoting native plants as alternatives to the non-native ornamentals and turf grasses that have dominated the American landscape for the past 50 years. Services include horticultural consultations, site-specific plant lists, and garden design.

Wildlife Restoration

Provides environmental consulting that focuses on biological resources, habitat restoration, and regulatory compliance in Southern California. Wildlife Restoration work for non-profit organizations such as The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy and The Nature Conservancy through grant and mitigation funding. In addition, we implement and monitor mitigation for municipalities or developers.

Mystic Water Gardens

Mystic Water Gardens designs, builds, and maintains custom-crafted waterfalls, ponds and streams. “Our water features are not just combinations of fish, rock, water, frogs and dragonflies — they are areas of meditation, points of exploration for children and meeting places for friends and family.” Contact Steve Sandalis, (818) 424-6836. (We are familiar with one of their beautiful ponds, installed at the Tarzana Community & Cultural Center.)
